Salon uses your PC to mine cryptocurrency if you use Adblock

Liberal blog Salon.com has decided to fight back against the 25% of their readership who uses adblock by “asking” users permission to engage in Monero mining (cryptocurrency) while you read the website. The problem is that the user doesn’t have the option to opt out of the coinhive operation before fully understanding what Salon is doing. However, this is all a ploy to guilt users into purchasing the Salon App, which is their version of a subscription service.
